"A portrait of my children, once a week, every week, in 2013."

Joaquin: Joaquin loves his new jumper. He was jumping outside and was having so much fun.
Zalia: Even though it is an autumn afternoon, she is in her singlet and undies.

my little girl turns 3

My little girl turns three today.
Joaquin woke up excited this morning knowing it was his sister's birthday. He ran into the kitchen and decided he would set the table for breakfast and get breakfast for everyone.
Then he ran into our bedroom and whispered "There are presents for Zalia in the living room".
He saw them out of the corner of his eye when he was setting the table, So sweet.
So we went into the living room and there was a present for Zalia.
A little toy wooden kitchen, some other presents wrapped up.

In the afternoon there was a chocolate cake made by me, sandwiches de miga and a birthday celebration for my little 3 year old.
It was nice to spend this special day together.
I love my Zalia, she has a big heart, is very sweet, but has a temper and knows what she wants. She is very intelligent and knows how to comprehend people by looking at them and working them out. I am so lucky to have her and my little boy by my side every day.

"A portrait of my children, once a week, every week, in 2013."

Zalia Very carefree, tomorrow she turns 3. I will miss her being 2. She is learning to say "tres" when we ask her "Cuantos anos tenes?"
Joaquin: Tussled just woke up hair, always thinking and working his little mind. He is such an intelligent sweet soul.

April At home in Patagonia

Autumn is really here.
The leaves are gradually falling of the trees. But it is not as cold as we imagined for this time of the year. There is no snow on the mountain yet. I wonder when it will really be cold.
We are in a routine with school, preschool, swimming, sports, my work, making bread, afternoon sleeps for Zalia.

a little bit of this, a little bit of that

It has been nice relaxing at home this weekend.
We stayed indoors, cooking and hanging out.

These flowers outside our window are in full bloom. They are like big red match sticks and they attrack bees and small litte hummingbirds that have a bright emerald chest.

Zalia made the little cupcake holder in her preschool and it came with one chocolate and Joaquin got a little cup with the little yellow chick with some chocolates he made with bon bons in his class.

Coffee was a must every morning.

This is the bag of carrots we bought at the Trevelin fair for $16 pesos, approximately $2.50 australian dollars.

Zalia and her giraffe puppet. She is currently sleeping with it and can not get enough of it. It was actually a gift to Joaquin but she has taken ownership of it.
